While I arrived yesterday, today is my true First Day home, and it is Glorious! This morning I was met with a perfectly brewed mug of Coffee, a lovely scramble of eggs accompanied with toast slathered in Homemade apple butter, while all the while Mellow Irish tunes fill the kitchen. Such a dream of Happy Home I had Imagined, but it was so Perfect that I had to wonder if I had crawled out of my dear bed or not! My friend from University has returned home with me, as she was not traveling the long distance to spend the Holiday at her own home. Miss Vendeville was a welcome addition to our Family, and assisted us in the playing of A Great Many Games including a few rounds of the marvelous game of Pente. I fear I am Too Proud of my Skills at said game, but I do often win and it gives me no Small Pleasure. However, I know I must make effort to be more Demure or I shall have no one to play with! While we played, Mother began a batch of pumpkin pies, and offered us a bowl of Freshly Roasted pumpkin seeds that were glazed in some mixture of sweet and salt that made them a Perfect Snack.
It is beyond my powers to express how Thankful I am to be returned to the Estate, and to be able to spend my Leave from my Studies with my Dear Family, so I will simply say that this shall be a Week full of Thanks and Giving.
